Description

Bluish grey, fine-grained limestone in irregular beds, from 10 to 30 cm thick, with shale interbedding. It is part of Unit 2 of the Simard Formation (Trenton Group). The stone has been quarried since the beginning of 1990, in Tremblay, in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean Region. It is used to produce landscaping stone.
