You will now access SIGEOM, a unique spatially referenced geomining information system. This system contains all the geoscience data accumulated in Québec over the last 150 years. Each year, it is enriched with the results of prospecting and exploration work carried out by the Department, mining companies and universities.

It encompasses:

e-sigeom à la carte, which provides access to all geoscience data. It allows users to search for data based on specific criteria, and to obtain customized maps in the desired format.

e-sigeom atlas, which makes it easy to access all available GIS products. It lists all geological, geochemical or geophysical maps.

e-sigeom examine, which lists all the geoscience documentation available at the Department:

• bibliographic data from the documentary database;
  
• reports;
  
• maps.
  

With Sigeom, you can consult, find and order the products you need. Commercial transactions are performed in a secure environment.

Two modules to convert analytical data into tables

To make it easier to use analytical data from e-sigeom à la carte, the Department has developed two tools to convert the data. These are:

• TranspoLithSIG for rock analysis (Access Format, 97, Acces Format 2000), available in French
  Guide (PDF Format, 375 Kb);
• TranpoSedSIG for analysis of material from the secondary environment (Access Format, 97, Access Format 2000), available in French
  Guide (PDF Format, 375 Kb).

These tools make it possible to display results in the form of a table, which can then be imported into most characterization programs.
