The gouvernement du Québec has set up a special fund to finance the reform. The amounts paid into the fund are directly proportional to the level of activity on the property market. Among other things, they include:

• Amounts collected exclusively for the reform when registering property transactions at the registry office;
• Amounts collected when the Department officializes the cadastral operations performed by land surveyors;
• The sale of cadastral products.
